The annual Fine Art@Hale exhibition showcases the work of emerging and established Western Australian artists across the creative media of painting, sculpture, mixed media, glass, ceramics, textiles, photography and jewellery.
Exhibiting with Fine Art@Hale is by invitation only. Artists who would like to be considered for inclusion in future Fine Art@Hale exhibitions are encouraged to provide information about their work to the Fine Art@Hale Committee via the Expression of Interest link below, by 30 November of the preceding year. (This is now closed for the 2024 exhibition, and open for 2025.)
Each year, the committee invites around 25 new artists to exhibit at FA@H for the first time, ensuring that the collection reflects a dynamic, fresh and innovative array of work. The committee considers artists who have applied via an Expression of Interest, those who have exhibited previously and extends invitations to other artists that it wishes to support.
As a school-based community art exhibition, FA@H also provides an opportunity for Hale School students to explore the collection as an extension of their curriculum based learning. Selected artists may be invited to be involved in various on-campus activities, including artist in residence programs, practical workshops and artist talks to student groups from Year 1 all the way through to our ATAR Visual Art students.
