Sarah Pondevie is an award-winning Western Australian artist who grew up in Walyalup/Fremantle. She works in oils, pastels and most recently in watercolour, as these disciplines directly influence and inform each other to complement her style. With each, she looks for purity in pigments that reflect the vibrant light of Australia. Observational painting is an important part of Sarah’s practice and she brings these experiences into the studio when she is not out travelling. Her compositions focus on strong design elements with vibrant tones, colours in shadows and reflected light.
